Our Mission

Our mission is to give children and their families friendly tools to help promote awareness by sending a clear alert message through simple universal allergy alert symbols in hopes to keep them a little bit safer.

How BuddyBandz came about!

Of course like many other products on the market today our product was also created out of a need. Our President and Founder, Lisa Sanderson, has two children who both have been affected by food allergies (her youngest with a peanut allergy and eldest with a shellfish allergy). Suprisingly her youngest had a reaction to peanut butter only a day after eating it with no reaction at all .... and so the journey of diligent food inspection and constant reminders to family and friends began!

Until........during a family BBQ her youngest (who was 2yrs old at the time) was offered a candy covered peanut by a family member who forgot about the food allergy. Thankfully the candy was intercepted in time and was not ingested. That day Lisa came up with the idea to display the universal "no peanuts" symbol around a bracelet.

Her son was 2yrs old and could not yet express or understand his allergy properly. By designing a bracelet with a high visual impact and a unverisal symbol known by all, it would stand out to everyone who came into contact with him.

It worked! Her son wore the first BuddyBandz bracelet to a doctors appointment and without saying a word 10 people noticed it and gave great feedback...and so began the life of BuddyBandz!

Our Products

BuddyBandz products were created through vigorous testing and lots of feedback from parents of food allergic children. The colors and styles etc. are chosen from extensive research and information we receive from you. Only the best quality is used for our products, from the thickness of our t-shirts to the weaving of our bracelets, our products are designed to be durable and safe for kids.

Our products should, however, never replace the necessary communication you have with your child or his caregivers about his/her allergies. Food Allergies can be a life-threatening condition and may require the attention of a medical professional. If you suspect that your child may have a food allergy, please contact your pediatrician or medical doctor immediately.
